By the Lenus Health Team | September 2026

From 15 to 17 September, EXPOPHARM Munich 2026 turned Munich into one of Europe’s key meeting points for professionals across the pharmacy and pharmaceutical sectors.

For the Lenus Health team, those three days were filled with conversations, familiar faces, new introductions, fresh perspectives—and, of course, quite a few cups of coffee.

But before looking back at our own experience, it is worth asking an important question:

What makes EXPOPHARM Munich so important for the pharmaceutical industry?

Why EXPOPHARM Munich Matters

EXPOPHARM is one of Europe’s most important trade events for the pharmacy market, with its 2026 edition taking place in Munich. It brings together different parts of the pharmaceutical and healthcare ecosystem—from pharmacies and pharmaceutical companies to wholesalers, distributors, healthcare professionals, technology providers and other industry stakeholders.

With around 500 exhibitors and brands, more than 25,000 trade visitors and approximately 200 industry speakers, EXPOPHARM Munich 2026 offered much more than a place to showcase products.

It was a place to meet, exchange experiences, understand market developments, discuss current industry challenges and explore new ways of working together.

This year’s programme reflected that breadth, covering topics ranging from prevention, vaccination, cardiovascular health, biosimilars and self-medication to artificial intelligence, digitalisation, healthcare supply and interdisciplinary collaboration.

And this is where the real value of EXPOPHARM Munich becomes clear.

The pharmaceutical supply chain is constantly evolving. Market conditions change, regulations develop, new technologies emerge, and supply challenges require new solutions. At the same time, the needs of pharmacies, healthcare organisations and ultimately patients continue to evolve.

No company in this industry operates in isolation.

Bringing different parts of the industry together creates an opportunity to compare experiences, better understand changes across markets and discover new ways to collaborate.

For Lenus Health, as an international pharmaceutical wholesaler and distributor, this exchange is particularly valuable. Reliable pharmaceutical supply is not simply about moving a product from one place to another. It depends on up-to-date information, trusted relationships, regulatory understanding and strong cooperation across the supply chain.

And that is exactly why being part of EXPOPHARM Munich 2026 mattered to us.

Three Days, Many Conversations

Our three days at EXPOPHARM Munich 2026 passed quickly.

One of the most valuable parts of the event was the opportunity to meet many of our long-standing customers and business partners again—not through another email or video call, but face to face.

We had the chance to catch up, discuss developments in our markets, exchange experiences and talk openly about current needs and challenges.

At the same time, we connected with new people and companies from across the pharmaceutical industry.

Some conversations opened the door to potential new partnerships. Others gave us new perspectives on sourcing, distribution, documentation or regulatory processes. And sometimes, the value of a conversation was simply having two people from different parts of the same industry sit down and compare experiences.

That kind of exchange is one of the things that makes an event like EXPOPHARM Munich so valuable.

Three days, many conversations

More Than Business

Of course, trade fairs are also about business. New contacts, partnerships and opportunities are an important part of why companies attend.

But after three days in Munich, one thing stood out to us again:

It is not only about business.

When manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, pharmacies and other healthcare professionals share information and experience, everyone gains a clearer understanding of what is happening across the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Information becomes more current. Challenges are identified more clearly. New approaches to sourcing, logistics and distribution can be discussed. And relationships are built that can make future cooperation faster and more effective.

Ultimately, the value of these conversations goes beyond the companies having them.

Better communication and stronger cooperation across the pharmaceutical supply chain can contribute to making medicine supply more reliable and efficient—and help medicines reach the people who truly need them.

That gives these three days a meaning that goes far beyond a trade fair.

It's not just about business.

The People Behind These Three Days

From the outside, participating in a trade fair may look effortless. Behind the booth, however, it is a different story.

Three full days of welcoming visitors, moving from one conversation to the next, meeting customers and partners, taking notes, following up on discussions and staying focused from morning until evening requires a lot of energy.

So, a very special thank-you goes to the entire Lenus Health team.

The commitment, professionalism and team spirit throughout these demanding days made our participation at EXPOPHARM Munich 2026 possible. Every valuable meeting, every new connection and every opportunity we brought home from Munich was the result of a genuine team effort.

And yes, there was plenty of coffee involved. ☕️

Was every cup of exhibition coffee unforgettable? Probably not.

But many of the conversations we had over those cups certainly were.

After three intense days, we left Munich tired.

We Left Munich with More Than Business Cards

At the end of three busy days, we left Munich tired—but also grateful, inspired and carrying plenty of new ideas with us.

We strengthened relationships with long-standing customers and partners. We met new people, exchanged knowledge and experience, discovered opportunities for future collaboration and gained fresh perspectives on an industry that continues to evolve rapidly.

Perhaps most importantly, we were reminded once again that pharmaceutical distribution is built on relationships between people.

Behind every shipment, every supply solution and every business agreement are people communicating, sharing information and working together to solve problems.

To everyone who visited us at EXPOPHARM Munich 2026, shared an idea, discussed business and collaboration, exchanged experiences or simply stopped by for a good conversation: thank you.

And to our Lenus Health team: a very special thank-you for the energy, dedication and teamwork that made these three days possible.

We look forward to continuing the conversations that started in Munich.

Until the next EXPOPHARM.
